Fund services built for the future
Permian is the leading Nordic fund administrator, serving the alternative investment market with a full suite of services. We support a wide range of asset classes with strong expertise, robust technology, and automated solutions.
As a trusted one-stop partner across the fund lifecycle, we enable clients to operate efficiently, stay compliant, and build investor trust.
Since 2008, we have combined regulatory insight, reliable platforms, and highly skilled people with a commitment to precision, care, and long-term value. Following our merger with Highvern in 2025, we broadened our reach and now serve clients across Norway, Sweden, Jersey, Guernsey, the Cayman Islands, Ireland, and the UK.
Permian is looking for a business-minded, driven lawyer with an interest in financial regulatory issues. In this role, you will work broadly on legal affairs within the Permian group and with regulatory matters for our clients. The clients at the Swedish office are Swedish and Norwegian managers of alternative investment funds, such as private equity, venture capital and real estate funds.
Key tasks:
You will be part of a committed Nordic team in a dynamic environment. You will have a central, interdisciplinary role with interesting tasks that will include:
- advising, internally and externally, on the regulations for managers of alternative investment funds (AIFM Act/DORA/SFDR)
- act as external Compliance Officer for larger clients
- handle issues related to investor classification and anti-money laundering (AML/KYC) as well as FATCA/CRS
- handle internal legal affairs, for example within GDPR, IT agreements, NDA, tax law issues, and act as board secretary
- drafting and reviewing agreements with customers and suppliers in collaboration with the marketing department and account managers
- carrying out impact assessments of how new regulations may affect Permian's and our customers' business
- prepare and implement training programs both internally and externally
The role is part of the company's Regulatory & Advisory group and reports to the Head of Legal and Regulatory affairs.
Qualifications and characteristics:
We welcome candidates with a master's degree in law and at least four years of work experience in a law firm, as an in-house lawyer and/or with a public authority. As a person, you are good at understanding complex issues and you have an eye for detail. You handle responsibility well in a fast-paced environment and communicate clearly with non-lawyers. In addition to good knowledge of Swedish, you must have good command of English, both spoken and written.
Previous experience with alternative investment funds is not a requirement. Permian has extensive knowledge in this area, and we are happy to share this with new colleagues. The key requirement is your genuine interest in being part of our journey to establish ourselves as a leading global fund administrator.
As a qualitative step in our recruitment process, we conduct a background check for our final candidate.
Please submit your application with a CV and a cover letter. We review applications continuously, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. We look forward to receiving your application!
