We are seeking an experienced fund accountant who will be one of the first employees in our offices in Copenhagen. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape Permian’s presence in Denmark and play a key role in how we serve the Danish market.
Key responsibilities and tasks
As Senior Fund Accountant / Fund Accounting Manager you will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of accounting deliverables for Permian’s clients in Denmark. Tasks will include:
- Accountancy, tax and reporting for clients.
- Accounting and reporting related to investments, equity transactions, dividend distributions, capital increases, consolidations, etc.
- Responsible for the quality and accuracy of accounting deliverables for Permian’s clients.
- In-depth understanding of clients’ operations, relevant fund agreements and applicable laws/regulations. tax and financial reporting.
- Process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
- Work closely with colleagues in the Danish team and collaborate with specialist teams across the wider Group to deliver integrated, high-quality solutions, services and deliveries to our clients
Your profile
- A master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in accounting and/or audit.
- Experience with VAT, payroll and tax is preferred. Experience of Fund administration and/or with asset managers is an advantage but not required
- Experience of Danish and, preferably, international accounting standards (IFRS) and strong hands-on experience with financial close
- Experience with group accounting/consolidation is a plus.
- Authorised accounting consultant accreditation is an advantage.
- Proven track record of delivering professional client service.
- Fluent in Danish and English in speech and writing
- Structured, process-oriented and a strong team player.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects concurrently.
